this website is devoted to news about the Department of Engineering Management, Information, and Systems (EMIS) in the Bobby B. Lyle School of Engineering at Southern Methodist University. Included are announcements about EMIS faculty, students, research, programs, activities, and friends.

The department offers degrees in the following programs:

  • Management Science and Operations Research: B.S. (Management Science), M.S. (Operations Research), and Ph.D. (Operations Research)
  • Engineering Management: M.S.E.M. and Doctor of Engineering (Engineering Management)
  • Systems Engineering: M.S. (Systems Engineering)
  • Information Engineering and Management: M.S. in I.E.M.

Courses and degrees are offered in traditional on-campus classroom setting, distance education (streaming Web video), and executive/weekend-format (selected masters programs).
