Abstract

This keynote addresses how photonics, the flow of light, is emerging as an enabler of consumer expectations to mold our lives.  The audience would collaboratively explore:

The classical challenge of how the boundaries of existing systems are in the danger of hitting a brick wall,

The fundamentals of a photonics system,

A framework of applications of photonics,

A vision and roadmap into the future, and

The socio-economic impact of this technological advancement.

The concepts presented are born out of the learning gained from:

A study of the chronological advancements in technologies over the past century, and

The experience gained while building enduring, significant, category-defining organizations that applied these advancements.
