Drew Casani
Drew Casani is the Director of the Texas Manufacturing
Assistance Center (TMAC), the Texas affiliate of the US Department
of Commerce’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). The
organization works with manufacturers to improve their competitiveness,
productivity and profitability.
Prior to joining TMAC, Drew was a Partner with the
Strategic Processes Group, a consultant organization dedicated to
implementing strategic processes with customers to insure their
success. Drew had the primary responsibility for Product Development.
Drew has over 30 years of experience in strategic
planning, business development, total quality and program management.
During his 13-year career with the LTV Corporation, Drew held a
variety of senior executive positions. He served as President of
the Military Aircraft Division where he had profit and loss responsibility
for the marketing, engineering, manufacturing and sales of major
aircraft structure on programs such as the B2 and C17. As Senior
Vice President of Strategic Operations, Vought Aircraft, he was
responsible for strategic planning, quality management, new business
development, domestic and international marketing, supply chain
management and aircraft overhaul and modernization. In the latter
role, Drew had profit and loss responsibility for the aircraft overhaul
and modernization product line. While at LTV Drew also held positions
as Vice President - Planning, Aircraft Products Group; Director
- Planning, Vought Aero-Products Division; and Manager - Business
Development, LTV Corporation.
He spent 20 years in the US Army, mostly in various
technical and management positions in the Department of Defense
Weapon Systems Acquisition Process. During this period, Drew‘s
experience included competitive analysis of missile programs, program
management of test and evaluation programs for various weapons systems,
operations systems and analysis to validate doctrine and new developments,
budget formulation for new weapon systems. Drew has hands-on experience
with European industrial practices, government relations and foreign
military sales.
Drew received his Master of Science in Industrial
Engineering from Kansas State University and his Bachelor of Science
in Engineering from the United States Military Academy in West Point,
New York.
