Wafer Fabrication Manager, DMOS6 2002 - present
Texas Instruments

  • Manage TI's DMOS6 300mm wafer fabrication facility at 130nm and 90nm technology nodes. As TI’s only 300mm fab, DMOS6 has more than 800 employees and is a $3 billion investment in building and equipment. DMOS6 is TI’s top revenue generating facility.
  • Ensure TI’s readiness for technology development transition from 200mm to 300mm.
  • Define and enable the way TI manufactures digital signal processors (DSPs), which are the drivers for TI’s substantial market share in the wireless market space.
  • Enable advanced semiconductor manufacturing in the United States that is competitive with factories operating in nations that have a labor advantage.
  • Sima is the only woman in the semiconductor industry who is managing a 300mm fab. She is also a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS), which is part of TI's Technical Ladder.
