Encouraged by the 88 car, Gary then built a Duetto race car, with a sliding block suspension and several other nice racing mods. He was never really happy with this car, though - he was hooked on the two door! I'm happy to say that this car passed through several hands, always well-kept, and remained a very fast an attractive racecar. The big, goofy SCCA cage was chopped out of it in favor of a much nicer-looking rollbar, but the sliding block suspension was kept, as it always worked extremely well.
