The stock sway bar is a bit too conservative for me, though for normal driving there is nothing wrong with it. Near the limit the car tends to understeer. A larger rear bar helps to give the car more neutral handling.
Putting the MINI on stands is not the easiest thing to do. The plastic blocks provided for lifting points are lightweight but flimsy-looking. It helps to have two floor jacks to do this (a real car lift is of course the best way, but it will be a few years before I have one of those again). Notice that there are jack stands actually supporting the weight of the car, but I left the hydraulic jacks in place.
