Laboratory and instrumentation skills

·         Excellent experience on using different specialized hardware including Photolithography systems, PECVD System, Reactive Ion Etch System, Plasma Asher and Plasma Etcher, Photoluminescence System, Optical characterization equipments, HP 70004 Optical Spectrum analyzer, ILX Laser Diode Driver/Test instruments, Ellipsometer and Profilometer, Infrared cameras/detectors, Sensor Physics near- and far-field measurement system, Scanning electron microscope, Test system for surface-emitting and edge-emitting laser die and bars, Edge-emitter laser packaging on c-blocks, mounting and wire bonding, laser welding,  thermo-sonic wire bonder.

·         Competent in handling materials testing instruments such as tensile testing, hardness testing, impact testing and micro-structural examination tools.

·         Exemplary skills in using all machine shop machineries such as lathe, milling, welding and metrological tools.

·         Hands on experience in casting, molding, particulate processing, metal forming, sheet metal working, materials removing processes, joining and assembly processes

·         Experience with FDA medical device classification processes and medical device market approval processes.

·         Familiarity with ISO 13485 standard and regulations
