ISIM Help

ISIM is an inventory simulation that accepts as input:

  • an order quantity, Q,
  • a reorder point, r,
  • the number of days to simulate using this (Q,r) inventory policy, and
  • the number of simulated days to display.

Daily demand and lead times follow the distributions shown.

Output consists of a summary report and an optional daily transactions report. The summary report is a compilation of the following values for the simulated time period: average inventory size, number of orders placed, number of backorders, total demand, and inventory costs. Also given are these same values on an annualized basis, extrapolated
from the simulated data and assuming 250 working days per year.
