July 3. Just learned that there may not be a SOAP client available via SMU in time for the session 4 assignment. JasonP is working some other options for a SOAP client but until the SOAP client issue gets resolved, a SOAP client part for the assignment is OPTIONAL. If you work out a way to get it done, then that will count extra credit.
More Extra Credit: Use Amazon Web services into your assignment.
I have sent an email to David with the Amazon key that you can use to access services.
June 28: Assignment 4 and a companion handout for WSDL are now available. The assignment handout also includes info about the exam/quiz that will occur in session 4. We are still trying to get a SOAP client to make it easy to access a SOAP service.
June 14: There is now a syllabus that contains grading weights for different deliverables. Also, the assignment and other info for session 3 is now available under the Assignments link.
An easy way to leverage the power of cURL on a PC is to download CYGWIN, a unix/linux environment for Windows. CYGWIN includes cURL which means you can run from your PC. Download CYGWIN at: http://www.cygwin.com/ See notes in the assignment for session 3.
The blog at: http://cse7340.yolasite.com will be used for miscellaneous notes about web services.
