2008, I was elected as VP Finance of Chinese Student Union. 2009, I was elected as VP Finance of Badminton Club. Combining resources from these two organizations, I organized the First SMU Badminton Tournament, Spring 2009.

2008, I worked in CommScope Inc., Richardson, Texas as a co-op. The company provides infrastructure solutions for communication networks. After the summer, the company wanted me to keep working, so I continued working there as part-time until March, 2009.

2007, I earned my master's degree, and has kept working on Ph.D. degree.

2005, I enrolled Department of Mechanical Engineering at Southern Methodist University. I'm participating activities of American Society Of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and Engineers Without Borders (EWB-USA). During the winter vacation, I worked in a Chinese buffet restaurant at Frisco, TX.

2004, I earned my bachelor's degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University. I applied for world history major in the Department of History at Peking University and nearly brought off the competitive admission exam.

2003, I worked in several different places for internship. Firstly I worked at the Campus Mechanics Factory at XJTU, then worked part-time at Xi'an Aero Engine Inc., an Aerospace and Defense company who manufactures aircraft engines. During the winter vacation, I worked as a manager assistant at China Press and Publishing Journal, a professional daily in the field of press and publication.

1999, I was admitted to Xi'an Jiaotong University and majored in Materials Science and Engineering. I was elected Chair of the Communications Committee in the Student Senate, and worked as a journlist for the student newspaper, as well as established the Speculative Fiction Book Club and was elected the first president of the club.

1995, after 3 rounds of competitive exams, I was admitted to the Gifted Students Program of Beijing No.8 Middle School, a renowned secondary school in Beijing. During this time, I took part in voluntary services of environmental NGOs, such as Friends of Nature, Global Village Beijing, and Green Earth Volunteers.

1990, I enrolled Beijing Lixin School, a public elementary school which can trace its history back to 1920.

1984, I was born in Beijing, China. I'm of mixed 3/4 Han Chinese and 1/4 Mongols ancestry. I was surprised when I knew this fact after more than 20 years from my birth.
