Jeffery L. Kenningtonreceived a BSIE from the University of
Arkansas in 1968, a MSIE in 1970, and a Ph.D. in 1973 from the Georgia
Institute of Technology. He joined Southern Methodist University June
11, 1973 and has served in several Departments over the years. He
served as Chair of Operations Research and Engineering Management for
12 years and Chair of Computer Science and Engineering for 5 years. He
serves as an associate editor for two journals (Networks and the
INFORMS Journal on Computing) and is on the editorial board of two
journals (Telecommunication Systems and Computational Optimization
& Applications). He was selected as the University Scholar/Teacher
of the Year for 2003. He was selected as an SMU Altshuler Distinguished
Teaching Professor in 2004 and was granted membership in the SMU
Academy of Distinguished Teachers (2004-2006). He was selected as an
INFORMS Fellow in November 2005. In May of 2008 he was selected as an SMU Distinguished University Citizen.
Carolyn L. Kennington is a super volunteer.
Previous volunteer positions include the following: President of the Prestonwood Home Owners Association,
City of Dallas Productivity Board, City of Dallas Liscence and Appeals Board,
and Chair of the Arapaho United Methodist Church Rummage Sale. Currently she is President of Family Outreach of Richardson/Plano.
She recently participated in two White Rock Lake
Half-Marathons to help raise funds for Family Outreach. Her hobby is taking dance classes.
Catherine Kolbe Kenningtonreceived her B.B.A. in management
information sciences from SMU in May 1999. Employers include Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (1999-2003),
MarketBridge (2003-2005), CreateHope (2005-2008), and RCN (2008-present). Cathy resides in Arlington, Virginia.
Her interests and hobbies include scuba diving, swimming, making scrap books, traveling, and socializing.
Charles Allen Kenningtonreceived his B.B.A. in management
information sciences from SMU in May 2002. Employers include Real Time Resolutions (2003-2007), Countrywide Home Loans (2007-2008), and GMAC Residential Capital, LLC (2008-present).
His interests include fast cars, fishing, soccer, Texas Holdem,
and ice hockey.
