Brief Biography

Suku Nair  received his Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Kerala. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana in 1988 and 1990, respectively. Currently, he is the Chair and Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the Southern Methodist University at Dallas where he held a J. Lindsay Embrey Trustee Professorship in Engineering. His research interests include Network Security, Software Defined Networks, and Fault-Tolerant Computing. He is the founding director of HACNet (High Assurance Computing and Networking) Labs. He is a member of the IEEE and Upsilon Pi Epsilon.
