Abstract

RFID Applications and Challenges Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology uses wireless technology to automatically identify and track objects.  Learn about the broad range of applications for RFID in supply chains, healthcare, fleet management, government, defense and security.  Understand RFID enabled network design and architecture for RFID tags, readers, signals and backend systems .  Discuss challenges to implementing RFID technology.

Biography

Mark Johnson, RFID Tribe President, has served in leadership roles as CFO and COO for software, information technology, consumer electronics, telecommunications and supply chain businesses at Texas Instruments, Alcatel and Exel.  Mark advises companies in the technology space and frequently presents at conferences focused on RFID and sensor technology.  He resides in Plano, Texas. He volunteers his time on boards and serves in leadership positions with civic and professional organizations.  Mark holds a bachelors degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
